With news of our economy dominating headlines, a strong downtown marketing effort during the holiday retail season is more important than ever. So beginning Nov. 28, the Downtown Seattle Association – along with the Metropolitan Improvement District – is adding to DSA's popular KING 5 Holiday Wonderland featuring the Qwest Carousel.

This year we’re introducing the Downtown Light Spectacular with the theme, Through a Child’s Eyes – a family-friendly celebration of light which includes two exciting new attractions:

  • Holiday Light Show – A dynamic display of interwoven light and music, choreographed into five-minute shows staged every half-hour beginning at dusk in Westlake Park.

  • Holiday Memories Photo Projection – Complementing the light shows is the projection of favorite holiday photos that the public is invited to submit. A new selection of photos will be displayed daily on to the multi-story exterior of the 5th & Pine Building facing Westlake Park for all to enjoy!
JOIN US! We ask for your support in our efforts to attract visitors by helping light up Downtown this holiday season. Here’s how you can help:

Sponsor a Lighted Toyland Holiday Display

Sponsor a Lighted Toyland Holiday Display
Choose one of our remaining 8-ft tall illuminated holiday light displays in one of several fun Toyland designs including basketball & hoop, swing set, tricycle, wagon, crayons, drum set, toy race car and chess pieces.

Each design is illuminated with energy efficient LED-lighting. The $5,000 sponsorship includes a plaque with the sponsor’s name at the display base, as well as delivery, installation, removal and maintenance.

Up-Light the Exterior of your Building

The Downtown Seattle Association’s holiday lighting focus is a multi-year effort. The above rendering of our skyline is intended only as a future vision of what is possible, rather than what we expect in year one of our effort.

Up-Light the Exterior of your Building
Up-light your building with colorful gels and/or eye-catching holiday pattern projections, creating a magical impression this holiday that will draw attention to our beautiful skyline and Downtown’s iconic buildings.

If your building already has exterior architectural lighting, please consider some of our lighting vendor’s easy solutions to add a splash of color this holiday season.

Contact Anne Johnston at (206) 914-7775 or annej@downtownseattle.org for information and assistance from our preferred lighting vendor, DSA Hollywood Lighting.

Light your Streetscape Trees

Light your Streetscape Trees
