Data Sources
The Economic Profile was compiled using the most current available information from a variety of recognized sources. Data, where available, are 2006 and 2007 information and statistics, generally provided directly by the various sources. On occasion, information was formulated based on DSA calculations of obtained data. Major sources are cited at the bottom of data tables and individual pages. Sources include the U.S. Census 2000, U.S. Claritas (2007 U.S. Census estimates), CB Richard Ellis, Dupre+Scott, OfficeSpace.com, City of Seattle’s Office of Housing, Port of Seattle and Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC). Marketing studies, various publications and data obtained from specific organizations have also been used.
